Updates to Our COVID-19 Policies

August 31, 2022 BPW Team

The BPW is committed to ensuring that our in-person indoor and travel workshops stay safe and fun. We are still requiring proof of vaccination to attend all indoor workshops. Masks are strongly encouraged but are optional.

To learn more about our more in-depth policies, check out our F.A.Q.s.

Updated COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

As of Thursday, September 1, 2022 we are still requiring all students to show proof of having received at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine before attending any of our indoor workshops. Students can share that information digitally using the Dropbox link provided in the informational email and reminder text. Once you have sent us this proof digitally you will not be required to send it for future classes. If you do not send us the required information digitally we ask that you arrive 10 minutes before the start of class with your vaccination proof on-hand for instructors to check at the door. Until we receive vaccination proof digitally, students will need to be checked at the door every time they wish to attend one of our indoor workshops. Additionally, proof of vaccination will be required for some of our travel workshops. Corresponding informational emails for travel workshops will specify the requirement.

Approved methods for proof of vaccination include:

  • A CDC vaccination card

  • A digital image of your CDC vaccination card

  • An image or printout of any official immunization record

  • A City of Boston app or any other COVID vaccine verification app

A Reminder of Our Continued Commitment to Practicing COVID-19 Safety Measures

  • We encourage instructors and students to wear face masks for the duration of an indoor workshop if they would like.

  • Our classroom setup still follows safe physical distancing. We ask that all students and staff members continue to be aware of their physical distance from others and to be respectful of everyone's personal space and comfort.

  • Hand sanitizer and access to a hand washing station will be available for all students at our indoor workshops.

  • BPW Staff will continue sanitizing our studio space before and after all workshops. You can see more details about our sanitation policies here.

  • For outdoor workshops, face masks and coverings are optional for vaccinated students. We ask that unvaccinated or partially vaccinated students practice community-minded measures by wearing a mask for the duration of the class.

  • We ask that all students and staff members continue to be aware of their physical distance from others and to be respectful of everyone's personal space and comfort during outdoor workshops.

  • Hand sanitizer and/or wipes will be available at all of our workshops, but we encourage students to bring their own.

We want to thank our community of students for your continued support of our small business as well as your respect and caution as we navigate this next phase of the pandemic. If you are showing symptoms or have been interacting with someone who is showing symptoms or has tested positive, we ask that you reschedule. We are happy to facilitate a free transfer to a later class date!

We hope everyone stays safe and healthy during this time. We look forward to the photography adventures yet to come!
