Acadia National Park: Exploring Natural Landscapes

Bar Harbor, ME

Photograph the East Coast’s “crown jewel” with experienced instructors and fellow photographers. For 3 days, we’ll explore Maine’s rugged coastline and use it as a stage to capture dazzling golden hours and night-scapes.

Despite being one of the smallest national parks, Acadia offers the most diverse landscapes for photography: stone bridges, serene waterfalls, groves of multi-color leaves and placid ponds that all await our presence and cameras.

Through this workshop, we’ll gather to review images and engage in discussion, focusing on photography techniques, post-processing tips, and engaging with one’s surroundings.

Our Goals:

  • Learn an easy and practical approach to landscape photography.

  • Become more comfortable with: manual exposure mode, lenses, tripods, filters, and helpful phone-apps

  • Explore or advance techniques such as HDR, macro, and long-exposure photography.

  • Enjoy the company of other photographers and actively work with one another in the field.

Prerequisites:

Individual Guidance: If you’d like to get 1:1 instruction prior to the workshop, we offer virtual and in-person private lessons!
