Assignment 4: Series
Lyn
Photography allows us to pause, to see beyond what is obvious. My 5 photos reflect what I saw in piles of driftwood on a beach. As I took these photos an entirely different kind of energy emerged from my walk.
Sandra
My photo series was centered around my identity as a social worker and one of the many things that it is hard for me to understand and reconcile. My series focused on food insecurity. I live in Natick MA, which is a well off community, visibly in touch with many social issues and actively involved in community responses.
My question for this series is:
Why isn’t it working for some?
Richard — “The Other Provincetown”
Provincetown is often celebrated for its beaches, galleries, and vibrant summer energy, but this series explores a different side of the town. Through black-and-white photographs of overlooked details, quiet corners, and unexpected scenes, I sought to reveal stories that many visitors pass by without noticing. Together, these images invite viewers to discover the mystery, history, humor, and hidden character of what I call "The Other Provincetown."
