Old Sturbridge Village: Redcoats & Rebels
Spend the afternoon photographing history come alive. Hundreds of reenactors — soldiers, artisans, and camp followers — bring the American Revolution to life with drills, musket and cannon demonstrations, and a full battle reenactment. We'll explore the grounds and colonial-era buildings, working with available light both outdoors and inside.
Overview
Old Sturbridge Village's Redcoats & Rebels event is packed with photo opportunities: reenactors in period dress, artisan craftspeople at work, historic architecture, and the energy of live drills and battle scenes. We'll meet at a central spot (exact location shared via email after registration) and walk through the village together as a group, timed around the day's key events, including the Artillery Demonstration and the Battle: Redcoats and Rebels.
This is a day trip class — a one-time outing rather than a repeating workshop — open to beginner and intermediate photographers.
