In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the essentials of portrait photography. We will start by introducing you to the vocabulary of portraiture, commonly used camera settings, and posing fundamentals. From there, students will work with a model and practice in both indoor and outdoor settings, all with an instructor by your side. After completing the class, you'll have an understanding of the essential steps for making better portraits and improving your skills.

  • Prerequisite: Digital Cameras I & Better Composition, or equivalent class / knowledge of manual settings
  • Digital SLR, mirrorless camera, or advanced compact camera with manual features
