Overview
This is a 3-day, 4-night, photography workshop based in Sarasota, Florida. The group will meet on the evening of February 25th for a welcome dinner near the beach, where we’ll soak up the warm temps and get to know our fellow photographers.
The following three days will be filled with daily outings with guided bird and wildlife photography sessions at some of Florida’s most photogenic and accessible locations. We’ll return each afternoon to our hotel for photo reviews, and/or photograph sunset.
The workshop wraps up on the morning of March 1st, when we’ll gather for a group slideshow and share our favorite images before saying farewell.
About the Area
Sarasota, Florida, located on the Gulf Coast, is a haven for nature lovers and photographers alike. In February, while New England is still deep in winter, Sarasota offers a sunny, mild climate—the perfect escape. From the sprawling wetlands of Myakka River State Park to the active birdlife of Celery Fields and Venice Rookery, participants will have access to a diverse mix of habitats. Expect to photograph herons, egrets, ospreys, pelicans, and the occasional gator—all while building your confidence behind the camera.
