Itinerary

The workshop will be easy paced with lots of time for making. Our schedule is tentative and may be adjusted based on weather:

Day 1

  • Mid afternoon, we’ll all meet at a charming cafe near Yarmouth to make introductions. Afterwards we’ll hop in our cars for a 5-minute drive to a nearby beach, and enjoy a leisurely photowalk to help get everyone into the spirit of the trip.

  • Next we’ll make our way to a special Brewster beach. Here we’ll saunter and photograph golden hour and the finally the setting sun. Because we’ve timed this just right, we’ll be able to walk out on the tidal flats at low tide - an amazing experience!

  • Following sunset we’ll head to a local restaurant and grab dinner. After dinner we’ll head out to capture the stars and hopefully the milky way (weather permitting) If clouds crash the party, we’ll enjoy light painting and create one of a kind images.

Day 2

  • Depending on the groups interest level, we may decide to meet and photograph sunrise at a nearby beach.

  • Following our morning shoot, we’ll meet nearby in a classroom environment, editing photos together and have a group slideshow which will conclude the workshop.

+ Prior to the workshop, you’ll receive a detailed itinerary with all relevant locations, address, and meeting times. Our schedule, locations, and times are weather dependent and may change along the way.

About the Instructors

Chris Sanchez: Founder of the BPW, Chris has spent over 10 years taking photographs around the world for work and for fun. A lover of all things food-related and astrophotography, Chris has more snacks in his bag than lenses, but still gets great photos. If you need a snack... you know who to ask.

Kathy Sferra: Kathy got hooked on photography in college when she received her first 35mm camera. Nothing makes her happier than being outside with a camera, studying the landscape and looking for just the right light. Many of Kathy’s photos are taken within a one square mile of her home in Central Massachusetts or on Cape Cod.
