The Boston Photography Workshops is a growing creative studio founded by Chris Sanchez, a professional photographer, artist, and teacher. The BPW strives to inspire photographers and all creative people to move beyond camera frustrations and start creating amazing images. With simple, fun, and effective instruction, we look to make all of our photography classes the first step on your creative journey.

Chris Sanchez, Founder / Lead Instructor
As a professional photographer, Chris has worked in over 20 countries and is passionate about photography. Students say Chris has a fun and easy way about teaching and brings a smile to the classroom. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Chris has been teaching in Boston for the past 6 years. Chris prides himself in making digital photography incredibly accessible and straightforward to all levels of students alike.
Kathrin Havrilla-Sanchez, Founder / Brand Director
Our chief strategist, marketing guru, and word ninja, Kathrin Havrilla-Sanchez is a successful freelance writer and marketing consultant. Originally from Virginia, Kathrin now lives in Boston working with a wide variety of clientele across the U.S. Luckily, we poached her long ago and owe her a great deal for our success.
Anthony Tulliani, Instructor
Anthony is a talented photographer specializing in portrait and editorial photography. Since graduating in 2012, he has worked as a photographic assistant, digital tech, and instructor with the BPW.
Maria Zahir, Studio Manager
After a long stint in the newspaper world, Maria Zahir found a way to bring her love for photography and words together at the BPW. When she's not keeping the BPW-ship steady and on course, you can find her studying. Maria is currently working on her degree in Anthropology and Environmental Science at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
